Pendulum clocks are part of my life

My first experience with grandfather clocks was in the house of my grandparents in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In Holland we call these clocks staartklok which can be translated as tail clock.
In 1582 Galileo concluded that, in order for a clock to be 100% accurate, a pendulum was absolutely necessary. However, he had no idea on how to realize his clock dream.
